Seems like only yesterday that I was making sock monkeys and putting them in baggy washed out colored sweaters with bad seams. The first sock monkey I ever made, Juan, was given to one of my best friends. The sleeves were so long I had to roll them up and sew them in place so that they wouldn’t unwind.

Juan Mars Sock Monkey, the monkey that started it all!
The more and more sock monkeys I made, the cuter and cuter they got! All sock monkeys after Juan were also given to my family and friends. I thought that if they liked them that much, I might be able to sell them!

A year later the Mars Sock Monkey is ratcheting up in popularity and it’s beginning to acquire a loyal fanbase! I’ve realized that in order to take my Mars Sock Monkeys to the next level I will need to dedicate 100% of my time to them, but I hope that in the end they bring big smiles to everyone!
